One of our most notable alumni, Ian Smith (1933-37), served as Head Boy and Captain of Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Tennis, and Boxing during his time at Duthie House. His leadership qualities were evident early on, as he led multiple sports teams and the student body with distinction.

Founded in 1902

Established as Trinity Church School with just seven pupils, Chaplin moved to its current site in 1903 and was renamed after Sir Drummond Chaplin in 1923. The school has stood as a beacon of education for over a century, adapting to the times while maintaining its core values of excellence.

We are proud to announce the outstanding performance of our Form 6 students in the recent national examinations. Several students achieved straight As, securing placements in top universities both locally and internationally.

Annual Inter-House Athletics

The annual inter-house athletics competition was a resounding success this year. Duthie house took the overall trophy after a series of intense competitions across various track and field events. Congratulations to all participants!

Laboratory Refurbishment

The school has recently completed the refurbishment of the senior science laboratories. These new facilities are equipped with modern equipment to enhance the practical learning experience for our STEM students.
