Ian Smith: A Historic Legacy
One of our most notable alumni, Ian Smith (1933-37), served as Head Boy and Captain of Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Tennis, and Boxing during his time at Duthie House.
National Cricketers Produced
Chaplin High School has a proud tradition of producing world-class athletes, including international cricketers Chris Duckworth, Steve Elworthy, and Richard Kaschula.
Founded in 1902
Established as Trinity Church School with just seven pupils, Chaplin moved to its current site in 1903 and was renamed after Sir Drummond Chaplin in 1923.
